Ancestral Lineage Healing (ALH) is an approach to cultural repair articulated by Dr. Daniel Foor, founder of the Ancestral Medicine Global Network. As a decolonial gesture, reclaiming ancestral reverence practices supports an expansion of our relational field to include those who have come before us, along with the more-than-human world. Throughout modernity, these practices have been pathologized, misunderstood, and driven underground; but they are quite normal cultural practices engaged by communities across the globe.
As a certified ALH practitioner, I utilize this method to guide individual and group sessions. This approach supports healing intergenerational trauma by bringing folks into deeper relationship with their well-healed, vibrant ancestors. ALH practice may address troubles related to unsettled deceased kin; may amplify embodying the gifts of your people; may address cultural layers of repair; and encourage clarity concerning one’s personal path. If you'd like to know more about this practice and how it might impact your life, sign up for a consultation.
Don't let fear or uncertainty hold you back from exploring a journey towards healing and growth, whether through ALH or beyond. If this calls to you, I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
